Bronze Viking Age ring, 3.21 g, in good used condition, inspired by Odin's Eye from the 9th–11th centuries.
Description from the seller
Viking Era ring inspired by Odin's Eye. It features repeated concentric dot motifs and a beautiful earthy patina due to its age and centuries of burial.
The pyramidal collar is geometrically decorated with rings and dots, typical of Scandinavian decoration of these centuries.
In Norse mythology, Odin sacrificed an eye in exchange for supernatural wisdom. This series of dots carried symbolic meaning through Odin's Eye, the God of wisdom, kingship, and magic. In this way these concentric motifs reference Odin's wisdom and divine perception, expressing ideas of protection and divine vigilance.
It ships with a legal declaration sheet.
Customs duties outside the EU will be borne by the auction winner.
