Description
Beautiful complete series of 12 large Dutch decorative plates by G.M.P. Delft, dedicated to the 12 months of the year.
Each plate features a different scene of rural and daily Dutch life, in the characteristic blue and white tones of the Delft tradition, with the name of the corresponding month in Dutch.
The collection includes all the months from January to December.
On the back there is the mark:
G.M.P. Delft – ANNO 1661 – MADE IN HOLLAND – serie 6
The inscription “Anno 1661” is part of the mark and does not represent the production date of the plates.
Details:
* 12 plates – complete series
* Diameter: 28 cm each
* Origin: The Netherlands
* Material: glazed ceramic/maiolica
* Blue and white Delft-style decoration
* Period: second half of the 20th century
* Ready for wall mounting on the back
They show glaze craquelure and normal signs of age, visible in photos and consistent with age.
Particularly dramatic when displayed together on a wall.
