619 AR - Military miniature figurine - Silver

Splendid miniature cannon entirely made of 800 silver, with clearly visible official hallmarks: “800” (the silver fineness) and “619 AR”, identifying mark of an artisanal workshop registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Arezzo, an important Italian jewelry district.
This exceptionally crafted miniature reproduces in reduced scale a Prussian field cannon, presumably inspired by a historical model produced by Krupp in the second half of the nineteenth century.
The structure and the presence of a rear breech with a “Knebel” lever make it a refined reproduction of the famous recoil artillery pieces used from the late 19th century to World War I.
