Set of six antique Christofle silver-plated glass holders / porte-verres, France.
Elegant matching set of six individual holders designed to support small drinking or liqueur glasses. Each holder has a circular upper ring supported by a flowing S-shaped stem and a teardrop-shaped base.
The pieces are clearly marked CHRISTOFLE on the underside, together with additional Christofle marks and individual production numbers. Visible numbers include 1882672 and 1889743.
Christofle is a historic French manufacturer of silverware and silver-plated tableware. The pieces are offered as silver-plated metal and not solid silver.
Christofle is documented as having produced sets of individual liqueur-glass holders (porte-verres à liqueur), making this the most plausible function of the present pieces. The precise model/collection of this set has not been established.
