Description from the seller

Elegant and imposing white porcelain vase, finely crafted by Richard Ginori (Doccia), dating from the 1930s/1940s. The large-piece vase features a classical balustrade silhouette and is adorned on the front with a jewel-like gold reserve. Inside, there is a stylized depiction of a golden allegorical female figure with starry drapery and a halo, referencing the well-known neoclassical-inspired figures conceived by Gio Ponti and the Doccia school for the factory’s art production. The lip and base edges are finely finished with thick profiles in bright gold. On the bottom is the original factory mark underglaze in blue with a crown and the inscription Richard Ginori.

The piece bears no designer’s signature, only the Richard Ginori mark. Nevertheless, the allegorical figure, the neoclassical graphical style, and the finishes in gold leaf clearly reflect the expressive language and figurative repertoire introduced by Gio Ponti during his renowned artistic direction of the Doccia manufactory.

Conditions
Excellent vintage condition. It shows no chips, cracks, or restorations. The gilding remains uniform and bright, with negligible signs of use consistent with the object's age.
