AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Old Portuguese grocer's cabinet, preserved in the same family for several generations and with a family history of over 100 years.
The piece belonged to my late grandparents and was part of the family's old grocery, which for many years was the only shop in the village.

In addition to the commercial activity, the family also devoted themselves to farming, the cultivation of their lands and cattle breeding. At a time when small grocery stores played a fundamental role in Portuguese rural communities, this shop was an important point of trade and support for the local population.
The cabinet has two large doors, two lower drawers and several interior shelves, reflecting its original function as a storage piece.
The item preserves the signs of its long history and use. The paint shows pronounced wear, different tones, marks and irregularities naturally acquired over the decades. The aged appearance has been preserved, providing a natural patina that is very characteristic and a strong visual presence.

Currently, besides its interest as an antique Portuguese commercial piece, it is a piece with great decorative potential, capable of integrating rustic, vintage or eclectic interiors, country houses, commercial establishments, restaurants, hotels or other decorating projects that value old pieces with character.

The piece has remained in the family to the present day and is sold in the condition shown in the photographs.
