This is an exquisite mid-century style ceiling pendant lamp, dating from roughly the 1970s, notable for its enveloping design and its impressive cascade of crystals.

The upper structure features a ring or central crown with a sumptuous braided rope design in a bright gold finish, interspersed with subtle green textured details that provide a classic and refined color contrast very characteristic of luxury design of the era.

From the upper frame descends a stunning stepped cascade of multiple prisms and teardrops of hand-cut clear crystal.

Each crystal is meticulously cut to maximize light refraction. When the lamp is on (as shown in the images), the multiple internal light points pass through the crystals, projecting dazzling warm flashes and beautiful play of light and shadows in rainbow patterns on the surrounding walls.
