The piece stands out for a splendid veneer and geometric inlay in diamond patterns with contrasting grain (butterfly wing motif), made in precious wood essences. The top features a shaped fall-front that opens to reveal an inner compartment (scarabattolo) ideal for storing documents and small objects. The furniture rests on four elegant, curved legs typical of the period, enhanced at the front knees by decorative applications in gilded or bronzed bronze with floral motifs.
