SLAMP - Stefano Papi - Lamp (2) - Slamp Drop - Plastic

The Goccia pendant lamp, created by designer Stefano Papi, follows the fluid and light shape of water, hiding and revealing the light source at the same time. This lamp is luminous, bringing liveliness to domestic environments and decorating large spaces, especially when used in multiples.

Stefano Papi graduated in Industrial Design from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'. He presented “Aura the scooter of the future” in his thesis, the design that won the Aprilia Design Prize 2002, developed in collaboration with Paretti Studio. He devotes most of his time to product development and to film and audiovisual production, collaborating as an independent professional with several design studios. He is also a curator on the Communications side of various products and concepts for websites. In 2005 he began his collaboration with Slamp, leading him to delve into the company’s industrial mechanisms. He works on the optimization and innovation of these processes, as well as the production of products and exhibition materials. He also supervised the production of lamps by Nigel Coates, which were shown at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2008 he designed the pendant lamp “Goccia di Luce” and in 2011 “Morgana.”

By placing a bulb of another color, the lights produce different and extraordinary effects.
