Description from the seller

Beautiful, large shell Pleuroploca trapezium - common name: trapezium horse conch or striped fox conch - is a species of sea snail, a marine snail in the Fasciolariidae family, a spindle snail, a tulip snail, and their allies. The golden-brown shell is solid and heavy. The spire is of medium length. The apex is usually eroded. The sutures are narrowed. The whorls on the whorls are covered with spiral rows of slightly pointed, strong knobs. The surface is covered with small, brown, incised spiral lines, appearing mostly in pairs. The outer lip is crenulated with seven pairs of teeth, located where the paired lines meet the edge. The oval aperture is pale with strong protrusions on the inside. The columella is smooth posteriorly. The siphonal canal is elongated and short. The fasciole is weak. Dimensions: 65/80/135 mm. Highly recommended for collectors and interior decorators.
