HISTORY / OVERVIEW
The Fiat 500 C “Topolino,” evolution of the famous 500 A, represents one of the most iconic small cars in the history of Italian automotive. Produced from 1949 to 1955, the 500 C stands out for its evolved, more modern and rounded lines and for the distinctive front with an integrated grille.
The example offered is from 1952 and still has its original birth engine as indicated by the build plaque. It also still has the rare original four-digit black plates.
EXTERIOR
The bodywork has previously undergone a repaint/restoration by the previous owner, in its Amaranth color with two-tone black fenders, still in beautiful condition with general signs of wear. The car has recently undergone a polishing and detailing treatment, which further enhanced its aesthetic appearance. The chrome trim is in good original condition, as are all factory details.
A measurement with a micrometer showed no signs of accidents, confirming a solid, original body. The underbody is generally solid and original.
INTERIOR
The interiors were restored previously; they are complete and usable. The dashboard retains all original instruments and is complete and well preserved. The convertible top was replaced in the past and is still complete and functioning well, opening and closing correctly and keeping water out.
MECHANICS
The car is equipped with the original engine as reported by the serial number on the birth plaque of the car; the powertrain is in good condition, it has recently been restarted with a new battery, starts easily, and the car can be tested on private property. However, the technical inspection expired before 2018 and normal ordinary maintenance before the next inspection may be necessary, for example for the brakes.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
