Ricoh 500GX - New Old Stock | Rangefinder camera

In nearly new condition Ricoh 500GX coupled rangefinder camera with a choice between automatic or manual exposure.
This Ricoh 500GX therefore has automatic shutter speed auto-priority (shutter priority) and full manual operation.
Another very nice extra is the "double exposure lever" which allows multiple exposures on the same negative.

In the same range of Ricoh 500GX cameras the following can be compared:

1) The Olympus 35RC.
2) Konica C35 or C35 EF.
3) Canon Canonette QL17 G-III.

The device on offer is in perfect working order and the external cosmetic condition is like new and it went into production in 1976.
The Color Rikenon f2.8/40mm lens is in crystal-clear condition. Pristine, no dust, no mold and no haze.
It has a mechanical center shutter with speeds from 1/8 sec to 1/500 sec and B.
The aperture range is from f/2.8 to f/16.
ASA can be set from 25 to 800.
Minimum focusing distance is 0.9 meters.
The viewfinder is very clear. In the viewfinder image you can see on the right side a scale with the apertures from f/2.8 to f/16.
A battery test can also be performed by pressing the small orange button on the top of the camera. In the viewfinder the indicator needle (with a correct and good-working battery) will fall into the red box (between f/5.6 and f/8). Also, the lens cap is also the shutter for the light meter. So do not lose the cap and always place it back on the lens after use.
If someone wants to use the double or multiple exposure lever then do the following:
To make a second or third exposure on the same frame, rotate the small knob at the front of the camera (right under the red dot) with a finger from the red dot to the green dot, and then move the slide switch labeled "Multi" 1 cm to the right. It only works when the small knob is at the green dot. Then you can make a second exposure on the same negative because, with this action, the film does not advance. It’s fun for creating special compositions.
The light meter is very accurate and the double image is very clear.

A new film door light seal set has been installed. The old one was completely broken and our technicians professionally replaced it so that no light leaks can occur.
Works with a PX625 1.35-volt battery and this battery is included. Do not use 1.5-volt batteries.
