I am offering here an unusually large and richly crystal-coated mineral specimen from my collection.
The specimen comes from India and consists, to my knowledge, of apophyllite with peach-colored stilbite. It is densely set with crystals on nearly the entire top surface.
Particularly striking are the numerous clear to slightly greenish, glassy apophyllite crystals in varying sizes.
Between them there are numerous peach-colored stilbite crystals and larger crystal clusters. One of the larger clear crystals measures about 5.5 x 2.3 cm.
