Description
A fine and authentic example of an 18th-century tin lidded jug from the Maastricht/Maasland tin tradition, dated to around 1750–1770.
The jug has a tall, lightly waisted cylindrical form with profiled horizontal bands and a widened foot. The hinged lid features a characteristic three-lobed thumb rest and a traditional two-toothed hinge. The sturdy handle and heavy construction emphasize its original utilitarian character.
