The Konica C35 EF (1975), affectionately nicknamed 'Pikkari Konica' in Japan, was the world's first 35mm compact camera with a built-in electronic flash. Fitted with a sharp Hexanon 38mm f/2.8 lens and programmed automatic exposure, it made flash photography effortless for everyday users and became a genuine landmark in the popularisation of the compact camera.

Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.

Optical Condition
Finder: The frame inside the viewfinder had come loose and has been refixed. Cleaned internally.
Lens / Sensor: Clear — no haze, fungus or scratches.

Functional
Automatic exposure works; it reads about 2 stops bright in bright light (+1.4 EV at EV12, +2.1 EV at EV15) — see Known Issues.
The built-in flash fires, but the flash-ready (charge) lamp does not light.
The light seals have been replaced and the viewfinder cleaned internally.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.4 OVER / EV15: 2.1 OVER
Some of these deviations exceed what negative film can absorb — please read the Known Issues section and allow for them when shooting.

Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally

Known Issues
1. The automatic exposure reads about 2 stops bright in bright light and will overexpose.
2. The flash-ready (charge) lamp does not light; the flash itself fires — allow a few seconds for it to charge.

Shipping
We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
We only ship to registered addresses.
We ship within 3 business days after payment.

Customs and Taxes
Parcels are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): import VAT and any customs duties are collected by customs or the carrier on delivery, in accordance with the rules of the destination country.
Where import taxes have already been collected at checkout — for example under the EU IOSS scheme for orders up to EUR 150 — there is nothing further to pay on delivery.
