Description from the seller
Pioneer – Vintage Hi-Fi Stereo System – PL-12D / SA-6200 / TX-6200 / CT-200 / H-R99 / CS-515 – 7 pieces
Complete and fascinating vintage Pioneer Hi-Fi system, consisting of original electronics, turntables, and speakers from the Japanese brand. The lot brings together mainly components from Pioneer production of the 1970s, characterized by the classic satin aluminum front panels and wood-effect finishes typical of the era, as well as a Pioneer CT-200 cassette recorder from the early 1980s.
The system includes the Pioneer PL-12D turntable, integrated amplifier SA-6200, stereo tuner TX-6200, cassette deck CT-200, Stereo 8 recorder/player H-R99, and a pair of Pioneer CS-515 speakers.
The Pioneer PL-12D is one of the most recognizable belt-drive turntables from Pioneer’s 1970s lineup. It uses a 4-pole synchronous motor, two speeds – 33⅓ and 45 rpm – and a 30 cm forged aluminum platter. It features a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm, with an effective length of 221 mm, anti-skating adjustment, and tonearm lift system. Dimensions approximately 430 × 160.5 × 349 mm and weight about 7.5 kg.
The integrated amplifier Pioneer SA-6200, produced circa 1973–1975, is the heart of the system. It offers inputs for multiple analog sources, including two phono inputs, tuner, AUX and tape, the possibility to connect two pairs of speakers, and separation of the preamplifier/power amplifier sections. The stated power is about 15 W per channel into 8 Ω, with a frequency response of 15 Hz–80 kHz. Dimensions approximately 415 × 132 × 328 mm; weight about 9.4 kg.
The Pioneer TX-6200 is the analog tuner aesthetically coordinated with the SA-6200. It receives FM and MW/AM bands, with an analog tuning scale and front-panel instrumentation. The stated FM sensitivity is 1.9 µV, with a signal-to-noise ratio up to 70 dB. Dimensions approximately 415 × 132 × 340 mm; weight about 7 kg.
The Pioneer CT-200, introduced around 1980, is a two-head stereo cassette deck with electronic logic control. It supports Type I, CrO₂ and Metal tapes, has Dolby B, a full-logic system, and automatic stop. The frequency response extends to about 18 kHz when using Metal tapes. Dimensions 420 × 99 × 327 mm; weight about 4.7 kg.
Particularly interesting for collectors is the Pioneer H-R99, a stereo 8-track cartridge recorder/player, produced in the mid-1970s. It allows both playback and recording on stereo 8-track cartridges. It features automatic recording level control, a track indicator, and continuous playback or auto-stop modes. Dimensions approximately 295 × 116 × 275 mm; weight about 5.5 kg.
Completing the system is a pair of Pioneer CS-515, 3-way bass-reflex speakers with three drivers, including a 250 mm woofer, 120 mm midrange, and 25 mm dome tweeter. Nominal power rating 50 W, impedance 8 Ω, sensitivity around 90 dB, and frequency response 35 Hz–20 kHz. Each speaker measures approximately 345 × 585 × 303 mm and weighs about 16 kg.
