Description from the seller

Agate Geode Bookend Pair with Quartz Crystal Core – Matched Halves

A striking matched pair of natural Agate geode bookends, cut from the same original formation and polished on the display faces to reveal an exceptional combination of banded chalcedony and crystalline quartz.
The two halves show beautifully corresponding internal structures, with broad outer bands in deep reddish-brown, warm amber, smoky grey and pale bluish-grey tones framing a bright crystalline interior. The contrast between the strongly defined agate banding and the dense quartz core gives the pair considerable depth and visual impact.

Inside, the geode is filled with numerous clear to milky quartz crystals, arranged in radiating formations toward the centre. Under direct light, the many crystal faces reflect individually, creating a lively sparkle across both halves. Small natural colour variations and darker chalcedony areas near the central cavity add further complexity.

The fronts have been cut and polished to emphasize the internal mineral structure, while the backs retain much of the original rough matrix, creating a strong contrast between the refined display surfaces and the natural exterior of the geode.

Used together, the two halves form a functional and highly decorative pair of bookends, suitable for books, records or display objects. When placed side by side, they also clearly reveal their origin as two corresponding sections of the same original geode.

Please note: any measurements indicated in the lot refer to the complete geode with the two halves reunited, not to each individual half.
Books shown in the photographs are for display and scale only and are not included.

A distinctive natural mineral pair combining strong agate banding, bright quartz crystallization and a highly decorative symmetrical presentation.
