Meissen – Porcelain Rococo figure – hand-painted and gilded – 19 cm – restoration object.
Beautiful authentic Meissen porcelain statue, depicted as an elegantly dressed gentleman in 18th-century Rococo style.
The figure is unusually lively in its modeling and richly hand-painted. The clothing is rendered in several colors, with floral decorations and fine gilded accents. Remarkable are the green trousers, striped sleeves, and the colorful hat with feather decoration.
The figure stands in a dynamic pose on a heavily worked rocaille base, decorated with flowers and natural elements. The fine modeling and colorful painting make it a decorative and characteristic example of Meissen figurine porcelain.
On the underside lies the famous blue crossed-swords mark of Meissen, together with impressed and/or scratched model and form numbers.
