Description from the seller

Natural Celestine Geode – Dense Sky-Blue Crystal Formation – Madagascar

A beautiful natural Celestine geode from Madagascar, distinguished by its dense interior coverage of pale sky-blue to icy blue crystals and its strongly contrasting natural matrix.

The open cavity is filled with numerous well-developed Celestine crystals, ranging from smaller intergrown individuals to larger, more prominent crystals with broad reflective faces. Their soft blue-grey coloration creates a cool and elegant appearance, while the variation in crystal size gives the specimen considerable depth and a richly three-dimensional structure.

The crystal surface is especially attractive under direct light, where the numerous terminations reflect individually and produce a bright, sparkling effect across the cavity. Deeper recesses between the crystals add contrast and emphasize the natural architecture of the geode.

The exterior has been left completely natural, preserving the rough pale grey matrix that surrounded the crystallized cavity during formation. This creates a strong visual contrast between the rugged outer surface and the luminous blue interior.

Celestine, also known as Celestite, is a strontium sulfate mineral with the chemical formula SrSO₄, well known for its characteristic pale blue coloration and attractive transparent to translucent crystals.
The transparent display stand shown in the photographs is included.

A very attractive Madagascan Celestine specimen, appreciated for its dense crystal coverage, delicate sky-blue colour and natural geode formation.
