Ruby-in-fuchsite sphere, a natural ruby embedded in a fuchsite matrix, origin Myanmar, sphere diameter 62 mm, weight 391.95 g.
AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
This extraordinary sphere of ruby in fuchsite combines two striking minerals in a particularly contrasting and rare combination. The bright green base mass consists of fuchsite, a chromium-rich variety of muscovite, which gives the stone its fresh, almost living color effect.
Embedded therein are numerous rubies in vivid pink to purple shades, sometimes clearly delineated, sometimes softly embedded into the surrounding rock. Some of these inclusions present themselves in well recognizable crystalline structures, which adds depth and character to the sphere.
The highly polished surface brings out the natural play of color especially intensely: the interplay of rich green, warm yellow nuances and the striking ruby inclusions creates a lively, almost mosaic-like appearance. Depending on the viewing angle, new details emerge, giving the sphere a dynamic and fascinating aura.
Ruby in fuchsite is among the more sought-after combination stones, as it represents a special connection both optically and mineralogically. The harmonious fusion of vivid colors and natural structure makes this piece a striking eye-catcher with an unmistakable character.
Note: The depicted stand is not included in the delivery, but can be purchased separately.
