Leitz Leica Summar lens f2/5cm for Leica M39

This bright standard lens dates from 1935 and has serial number 281728. It fits the screw Leica from this period such as the II and III. That is from the era before lens coatings existed. The lens is in good condition. A bit of dust on the inside, but barely visible. No scratches on the lens elements. The lens renders a nice classic look with a softly rendered edge. Focusing turns smoothly. There are no scratches, dents or signs of drops or mishandling. Appearance is consistent with its age. Protected by UV filter. Comes with Leica front cap and aluminum rear cap.
