This work arises from a deliberately jarring encounter between the childlike, reassuring image of ice cream and the dark, anatomical, and almost esoteric nature of the human heart. A common ice-cream cone thus becomes a kind of contemporary relic, transforming a symbol of innocence and pleasure into an object with a dark-pop character.
