The Leica R3 MOT Electronic is a legendary 35mm single-lens reflex camera (SLR) that was introduced to the market between 1978 and 1979. It is a development of the standard Leica R3 from 1976, the first Leica camera with electronic shutter control. The main difference with the standard R3 is the addition of electronic contacts and a coupling on the bottom of the camera body. This makes the camera suitable for the Motor Winder R3.
