Dogon Horseman, this is a small bronze sculpture from Mali, the stylized rider represents the spiritual leader called hogon, the highest religious authority, traditionally, during the installation ceremony, the Hogon rode on horseback because, due to his sacred character, he must not touch the ground directly with his feet.
