Silver 10 stuiver 1749, minted for the province of Holland under moneyer Otto Buck, without mint mark.
Obverse: Dutch Maiden with in the right hand a spear bearing a liberty cap, with the left arm leaning on the Bible, placed on a richly decorated column. Inscription:

Reverse: crowned coat of arms of Holland with the climbing lion, equipped with sword and bundle of arrows. On either side the denomination marking X – ST, above the crown the year 17·49. Inscription:

A sharp and powerfully struck specimen with strongly preserved relief and exceptionally much detail. On the obverse the facial features, clothing folds, liberty cap and ornamentation of the column are clearly worked out. The reverse shows a pronounced Dutch lion and a detailed crown.
The deep silver-gray patina in the fields forms a strong contrast with the higher parts and gives the coin pronounced depth. Inscriptions, year, denomination and edge are convincingly present. A characterful specimen with a strong numismatic presentation.
