Year & Place of Edition: VIENNA, 1888
Overall Dimensions: 64 x 48 cm
This is the beautiful and rare engraving by Piranesi, reissued at the end of the 19th century by the author LEHMANN, in his rare work consisting of 4 volumes, which contain a vast repertoire of Piranesi’s prints.
This is the 1st edition completely reprinted in lithography in VIENNA in 1888, using this new printing technique.
Condition is fairly good as shown in the photo: there are small signs of aging, especially along the central crease (for double‑sheet engravings...); otherwise, this is a rare and valuable engraving from the late 19th century, in excellent condition.
