Description from the seller
Ayutthaya large torso, is one of the three pieces that made up a figurative sculpture of Buddha. Composed of elegant curves and soft lines, it retains the details of the diaphanous tunics draped over the left shoulder. Given the placement of the arms, it is likely that Buddha was sitting cross-legged with his hands in Bhumisparsha.
Between 1350 and 1767, the city of Ayutthaya was the second capital of the Kingdom of Siam (present-day Thailand). Ideally located at the confluence of three rivers, it prospered, becoming a global center for trade between the eastern and western hemispheres.
Conservation status: Good
Origin: Spanish Gallery
Notes: The piece includes a Spanish Export License (Passport for the European Union), at the time of sale it is requested in the name of the buyer, the process takes 2 to 4 weeks. - If the piece is destined outside the European Union, a replacement of the export permit will be requested. This procedure entails fee expenses that the buyer must pay during the application process. This process can take 4 to 6 weeks.
SHIPPED WITH INSURANCE
The transportation price is estimated and ultimately depends on the type of packaging, size and weight of the boxes. The buyer will be informed of the final shipping price and will be asked for the difference or paid the difference.
