Its square frame is flanked by four baluster columns richly worked at the corners, resting on volute-style feet. The polished brass façades are adorned with superb relief rosettes representing blooming daisies.

The upper dome-shaped hopper opens via a hinged lid on a grinding mechanism of original steel, operated by a brass crank carved with a turned and patinated wooden grip button. The front face houses its small removable original drawer. Notable for collectors: the internal structure of the drawer is entirely assembled in period solid wood, preserved in its original state, while its brass die-cut front bears a molded pull button in perfect harmony with the side rosettes.
