Large-format two-door wardrobe from the Biedermeier period, dating to around 1840.
The wardrobe is veneered with finely figured mahogany. The strictly structured front is defined by two tall, arch-shaped profiled door panels and a heavy, broad projecting cornice.
Particularly noteworthy is the largely preserved original interior fittings. The left half of the wardrobe features several pull-out shelves and two large drawers. In the right half there are original wooden hook rails as well as another large drawer. Only the clothes rail currently present was added later.
The cabinet is in an authentic, age-appropriate condition with patina and signs of use. In the upper area of the left door the veneer is damaged. The two doors do not close completely flush at present.
