Description from the seller
Grand Pearl Beaded Bamiléké Vase (Cameroon) - Royal Art
- Height 37.5 cm x 18 cm.
Weight 4350 Grams
Superb prestige vase from Bamiléké craftsmanship (Cameroon), entirely covered with a complex and colorful beadwork. This type of object, historically linked to the chieftaincies, symbolizes wealth and social status.
The piece features a rigid structure adorned with raised geometric motifs, creating a striking contrast with the rocaille glass beadwork (red, blue, yellow and turquoise).
Beadwork is exceptional and demands hundreds of hours of work.

Origin: Grassfields Region, Cameroon.
Technique: Manual beading on traditional structure.
Condition: Very beautiful overall condition. The colors have remained vivid and the beadwork is very well preserved, no missing beads.
Note: Presence of two very small, very ancient chips inside the neck area, evidence of age and authenticity of the piece, not affecting its solidity or overall aesthetics (see photo).
A piece of character, ideal for a collection of primitive art or high-end ethnic decoration.
Fast and careful shipping with tracking and insurance."} }```{
