French 5-franc silver coin, minted in 1846 under the July Monarchy, featuring King Louis-Philippe I.
Obverse: portrait of Louis-Philippe I facing right, wearing a crown of oak leaves. Inscription “LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS.” Engraver’s signature DOMARD F. beneath the portrait.
Reverse: value 5 FRANCS and the year 1846, surrounded by a wreath of laurel and olive branches tied at their base.
