Obverse: portrait of Louis-Philippe I facing right, wearing a crown of oak leaves. Legend “LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS.” Engraver’s signature DOMARD F. below the portrait.
Reverse: denomination 5 FRANCS and the year 1831, surrounded by a wreath of laurel and olive branches tied at the base.
Mint: K – Bordeaux.
