French silver 5 franc coin, struck in 1843 under the July Monarchy, depicting King Louis-Philippe I.
Obverse: portrait of Louis-Philippe I facing right, wearing a crown of oak leaves. Legend "LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS". Engraver's signature DOMARD F. below the portrait.
Reverse: value 5 FRANCS and date 1843, surrounded by a crown of laurel and olive branches tied at their bases.
Mint: W – Lille.
