AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent and rare pair of large twisted bracelets (manilles).

A detailed description will be provided later, but for now I am giving you a description of the entire set of 24 object listings whose provenance remains exceptional, a scientific treasure and a work of primitive art.
Discover among my 24 listings a unique historical ensemble, kept intact and preserved within my family for more than 70 years, because a former member of my family worked at the prestigious Bureau of Geological and Mining Research (BRGM) during the 1950s. These pieces are part of a spectacular field collection.
The collection is documented by its wooden transport case with colonial inscriptions BRGM Natitingou-Dahomey, the former name of present-day Benin, and it is also documented by an exceptional set of 26 geological maps with explanatory notes from surveys conducted between 1935 and 1961.
You will find among my 24 sales an exceptional King Manilla weighing over 3.8 kg.
Each lot (24 in total) is a fragment of this historic geological expedition.

This magnificent pair of bracelet coins, which served as currency or dowry, are twisted. These two models are decorated with grooves. One weighs 425 g and the other 381 g.

Good vintage condition in its original patina.
