Leica IIIa syn + Summar 5cm f2.0 Analogue camera

Originally an III (from 1939), it was rebuilt in the factory after 1954 into a IIIa sync. In the process the camera was thoroughly renewed; apparently only the camera base (top plate), bottom cover, and perhaps a few buttons remained from the original camera. The shutter was completely renewed, it also gained a back-brake that was implemented only from IIIc and can be found on some post-war II and IIIa models.

I have dismantled the camera completely and overhauled it professionally, adjusted timings and the rangefinder. Technically flawless, cosmetically with slight chrome wear at the back of the top plate and bottom cover (see photos).

In summary, very clean, fully overhauled. Aperture and fine-adjustment mechanism operate smoothly. On the front lens there are light cleaning marks. The specks you see on the lenses are air inclusions formed during glass melting, not uncommon in older lenses.
