The Austrian War Commemorative Medal (Kriegserinnerungsmedaille 1914–1918), established in 1932/1933, is a 33mm bronze-washed tombac medal honoring WWI service. It features an eagle, the shield of Austria, and "FÜR ÖSTERREICH" on the front, with "1914-1918" and "GRIENAUER" on the back. It hangs from a white/red triangular ribbon, often with crossed swords.

Established: Officially gazetted on December 21, 1932, by the First Republic of Austria.
Design (Obverse): A right-facing eagle standing on a shield displaying the arms of Austria, with the inscription "FÜR ÖSTERREICH" (For Austria) below.
Design (Reverse): The dates "1914-1918" surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath, with the artist's name "GRIENAUER" below the date.
