The RT500 transmitter is mounted on your camera, after which you can use your Cullmann FR36 or FR60 flash wirelessly – or other flashes with the RR500 receiver. Because the signal is sent digitally and wirelessly, it is extremely stable and has a long range, up to 100 meters. This avoids the many signal interruptions that easily occur when using infrared or other light signals. The system can operate on 32 different channels, allowing you to avoid conflicts with other users simply by choosing a different channel.
Moreover, the flashes/receivers can be set in up to 5 different groups, each with individual settings. – For example, one flash main operating at full power while another operates at 1/4 power, and so on. Or to have a flash not fire at all, without having to turn the flash off. The transmitter also supports the wireless technology of the camera manufacturer itself, which allows you to use it to trigger an original flash (with wireless function) without a receiver mounted on the flash. However, this does not offer the same stable range as the Cullmann system and requires the camera and flash to be able to “see” each other.
