A great visual artist with a passion for contemporary music, and a renowned musician and composer famous also for his light-and-sound installations, have jointly worked on a bold exhibition project titled The Sleepers. The exhibition, which took place in London in autumn 1999, in the Roundhouse cellars, broke down every barrier between plastic arts and music in favor of a fascinating whole rich in archaic memories and conceptuality: a new vision of the spirit of the current time. The critical essays, the conversation between Brian Eno and Mimmo Paladino, the images, and the music contained therein, in addition to documenting the event, constitute in themselves a further original chapter around the theme of the sleepers.
