SFAM - Table service (10) - Baguette - Silverplated - Part of a flatware set

Set of flatware (10 pieces) in silver-plated metal, model “Baguette” from SFAM, in excellent condition, from the 1990s, comprising:
2 table forks
2 soup spoons
2 table knives
2 entremets or cheese knives
2 small spoons

This Baguette model, simple and elegant, is common to many Parisian silversmiths.

In 1895, silversmiths SAGLIER, RAVINET, D’ENFER, and l’EPINE decided to join forces and create a common production of tableware and small silver pieces. This would be the Société des Couverts de Mouroux. The registered office is in Paris, but the factory is located in MOUROUX (77).

In 1987, Couverts de Mouroux bought back one of its clients, the Société Française d’Alliage des Métaux, founded in 1894 in Méru in the Oise. It thus established itself in finished silver products destined for Art de la Table shops and jewelers. The range is marketed under the trade name SFAM: Orfèvrerie de Chambly.
