Two beautiful and also rare antique candelabras in the Louis XVI style, crafted in mahogany and bronze and contemporary to their sale by the renowned Maison Boudet in Paris.

The Boudet firm was established in 1886 at 43 Boulevard des Capucines in Paris and from 1908 was based at the prestigious Place Vendôme 8, under the name Boudet Frères & Cie.

The firm belonged to the leading Parisian dealers in luxury furniture, bronze sculptures, art objects, and silverware.

Boudet exhibited, among other things, at the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908, where the firm presented special royal pieces of furniture, including Marie Antoinette’s desk and a replica of the famous Caffieri fireplace mantel from Fontainebleau.
