Statuettes for the cult of twins.
Among the Ewe, these representations are called Venavi.

Twin cults are linked to a significant rate of twin births in the regions of Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana.
This type of statuette is carved if one of the twins dies.
The statuette is then consecrated during a Voodoo ceremony.
The twin "Venavi" is then honored and respected, on par with his living twin.

Les cultes des Jumeaux sont liés à une taux de naissance importants de jumeaux dans les région du Nigéria, Bénin, Togo et Ghana. 
Ce type de statuettes est sculpté si l’un des jumeaux vient à trépasser. 
La statuette est alors consacrée au cours d' une cérémonie Vaudou. 
Le jumeau "Vénavi" est ensuite honoré et respecté, au même titre que son jumeau vivant.
