Murer & Duroni Stereo Pocket 4,5x10,7 cm in good physical condition and tested and working, circa 1910–1920, with the original pair of Rapide Aplanat Murer 1:8 F=135m/m stereoscopic lenses.
Description from the seller
Here is a splendid, rare, historically valuable antique stereoscopic camera: the Murer Stereo, produced in Italy by the prestigious Murer & Duroni of Milan during the 1910s (circa 1910-1915).
The lot is presented in generally good vintage condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the object's century-plus age, ideal for a high-end collection and display.
Optics: The camera is equipped with its original pair of stereoscopic lenses paired Rapide Aplanat Murer 1:8 F=135 mm. The lenses show no deep scratches or traces of mold; only a normal, diffuse and light vintage patina due to the decades that have passed, entirely natural for a piece of this age.
Mechanical: The lot appears to be functioning at a manual mechanical level.
Aesthetics: Generally good vintage condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid and robust rectangular metal body preserves its original black faux-leather covering with a textured pattern, showing the classic and fascinating signs of time, light surface dulling and a beautiful historical patina along the outer edges.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
