Beautiful and heavily crafted Victorian money safe or strongbox from England, dating from the end of the 19th century. This antique money safe is made of cast and wrought iron and is characterized by the richly worked decorative reliefs on the lid, the front and the sides.

The chest features the original key and a well-working locking mechanism. On the lid there is an original brass knop and cover plate. Heavy carrying handles are mounted on both sides. The combination of robust cast iron, the fine ornaments, and the authentic patina give this money safe an impressive appearance.

The interior is clean and the chest is in good antique condition with normal signs of use and aging appropriate for an object over a hundred years old. A special collectible for enthusiasts of antique safes, Victorian objects, industrial heritage, or historical money chests.
