Description from the seller
Here is a splendid, rare and historically valuable bi-optical stereoscopic camera: the Voigtländer Stereflektoskop, produced in Germany by the prestigious Voigtländer in Braunschweig during the 1920s.
The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and preservation coherent with the age of the object, and is complete with its upper cupola-viewfinder, the lateral extensible sighting mirror, and the very fine Heliar optics.
Optics: The camera is equipped with three original coordinated lenses: at the center it carries the Voigtländer Heliar 1:4.5 f=6.5 cm viewing lens, while laterally it is fitted with the pair of stereoscopic capture lenses Voigtländer Heliar 1:4.5 F=65 mm. The lenses are structurally intact and free of deep scratches or mold; only the normal, widespread, light vintage patina due to time is evident, entirely physiological for a piece of this age.
Mechanical: The lot is functioning at the level of manual mechanics. The excellent central mechanical shutter Compur Stereo responds to commands and fires regularly when actuated.
Aesthetic: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid and robust rectangular metal body in black finish preserves its original structural stability, showing the classic and normal signs of time, with slight surface tarnish.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally oversized protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
