Description from the seller
No minimum price!
Rare antique typewriter "METEOR" (circa 1911–1925) – a German collectible.
A true rarity for collectors and enthusiasts of historical technology: an antique mechanical travel typewriter of the model "METEOR".
This model was designed by the German engineer Albert Rehfeld and manufactured from 1911 in Dresden, Germany. Later, the design was also known under the name Vasanta as well as other designations such as Berolina or Melior.
Compact design: one of the early portable typewriters of its time, ideal for travel and journalists.
3-row keyboard: A fascinating technical feature is the keyboard layout in only three rows (with a double shift key for numbers and special characters).
Visual condition: As seen in the photos, the machine features the distinctive, well-preserved original logos ("Meteor") on the case.
A beautiful decorative object with historical value and a highlight for any typewriter collection!
Also suitable as a decorative piece on a desk or side table.
The typewriter is functional, but not flawless; for example, the paper sheet needs a little assistance when inserting. Mechanically it works, but it requires maintenance or adjustment.
It will be very well packed!
