Exquisite small bureau or Provençal dresser made in the 19th century, following the Louis XV style. This light desk stands on four carved legs. Its front features a frame with two handles at the bottom and two smaller frames at the top, in addition to the fold-down writing surface, the bureau itself. The hardware for the lock boxes and hinges is in antique iron. This discreet fold-down service front houses inside two small drawers and more compartments typical of a desk. Lightweight, practical, and versatile furniture.

The Provençal style originates in France, in the Provence region, in the 18th century. It began its journey and development by following the premises of the sophisticated and rich Louis XV style but adapting it to the countryside mansions of the French countryside where the aristocracy, and later the bourgeoisie of the moment, recreated a warm atmosphere.
