Picasso - Toy Domino Picasso - 1980-1990 - Spain

This is a vintage wooden domino game in a box with illustrations designed by Pablo Picasso in 1960.
The object is an unlimited wooden domino set, made in Spain, with drawings that Picasso made to illustrate the book Gavilla de Fábulas sin Amor by Nobel Prize winner Camilo José Cela. The set contains 28 wooden domino tiles in a wooden storage box with a sliding lid.
In the 1980s this collector's item was released for the first time based on the artworks. It was chosen to be a wooden domino game, with 7 of Picasso's original 1960 illustrations selected to replace the different numerical values (the pips) on the tiles.
The set was produced in Spain with official permission from SPADEM, the organization that at the time managed Picasso's copyrights.
It has never been played with this domino game, therefore it is as good as new.
