Aurora for Cartier Penna Ferrari spherical pen, model Penna Ferrari, dating to 1970, in Excellent condition with certificate and an original Ferrari-marked refill inside a steel dark metal body with gold accents.
Description from the seller
Ferrari Formula ballpoint pen, vintage, produced by Aurora for Cartier, dating from the late 1970s / early 1980s.
What makes this piece particularly interesting is the story behind it. The Ferrari Formula line originated from the collaboration between Ferrari and Cartier, with Aurora – one of the great historic Italian pen manufacturers – commissioned to produce the writing instruments. The design was inspired by Aurora's famous Hastil, but reinterpreted specifically for the Ferrari Formula collection.
This piece features the particularly elegant body in dark steel/metal, gold-toned details, and the distinctive double red rings, with the Ferrari name on the golden clip. It unequivocally belongs to that period: sober, very Italian, and with just enough Ferrari identity to distinguish it without being overly flashy; moreover, it is also a Cartier item.
The pen is very well preserved considering its age, with only slight signs of use. The mechanism works perfectly; the original refill is still inside and is branded Ferrari. For writing, it needs replacement.
