The obverse depicts Saint Agatha holding a sword and a crown, surrounded by the Latin maxim “Que la justicia sea la ley suprema”; the reverse shows the crowned coat of arms of San Marino with the three towers of Monte Titano and a fasces laid horizontally at the bottom.
