Commemorative coin issued for the fourth centenary of the birth of Bogdan Khmelnitsky. The obverse features the trident of the Ukrainian national coat of arms framed by viburnum branches; the reverse reproduces the equestrian monument of Khmelnitsky located in Sofia Square in Kyiv, with a detailed and dynamic sculptural rendering. The prooflike finish offers intensely reflective fields and well-defined frosted reliefs, with minimal imperfections in keeping with the high PL68 grade.
